Joining the ranks of the New York Times, TechCrunch and Gizmodo, the TopTenREVIEWS Tech News blog is now available for sale through the Amazon Kindle Store. Amazon reports ebook sales now account for 35% of a title's sales from their site, more than double the percentage over February. Amazon is banking on bigger is better with the newest iteration of the Kindle, the Kindle DX, is scheduled for release this summer and is available for pre-order now on Amazon.com.

Kindle expert and host of "The Kindle Chronicles" podcast, Len Edgerly, is pessimistic about the future of newspapers, but says the Kindle DX in its larger, tabloid format offers hope for publishers. "It's certainly got to be a hopeful development for struggling icons like the New York Times and the Boston Globe, both of which (and the Washington Post) signed up for yet-to-be-detailed promotions in which they will offer discounts on Kindle DX's if you people sign up for long-term subscriptions."

Blogs are fast becoming a primary news source for millions. Technorati's annual report, State of the Blogosphere 2008, said 95% of the top 100 newspapers in the country have active blogs. The report also cited that 77% of active internet users read blogs daily and 4 of the top 10 entertainment sites are blogs.
