VERDICT / Appointy is a strong performer in scheduling software, falling just short of the top three applications. It has an easy-to-use customer platform and offers all of the administrative features we looked for in scheduling software.
Appointy is an online scheduling software program that allows your clients to book their own appointments through an online portal. Once the appointment is scheduled, both you and your client receive an email notification. Clients receive a second email message reminding them of their appointment.
This meeting planner comes in four different tiers, ranging from a free package for one user up to larger plans designed for multi-office practices or businesses. For this review, we evaluated the plan suited for small to medium businesses. While you won't have all of the features associated with higher-level plans, the lower-tier plan does offer separate logins for your staff members and analytics.
The scheduler is very clean without a lot of clutter. It earned a perfect score – 100 percent – in our client scheduling tests. Our reviewers had no trouble making appointments, scheduling recurring visits, receiving instant quotes and paying ahead of time for a visit.
This platform takes clients through several steps when creating an appointment in comparison to the best scheduling software program have. Even with these extra steps, we had no trouble utilizing this platform. Each step is easy to understand, especially since there aren't excess tools and options cluttering the platform.
Appointy allows clients to cancel appointments online and set up text reminders about upcoming set appointments. Furthermore, this platform is mobile friendly, so your clients can book their appointments no matter where they are. However, your clients cannot access a wait list. One convenient feature is that if you have clients that live in a different time zone, they can see their appointments in their own local time since Appointy offers automatic time zone conversion.
The administrative side of Appointy is very easy to navigate through, earning a 90 percent score in our administrative interface tests. We had little trouble setting up our account and only had to consult the help section a handful of times before we were able to run the software. The client histories are in depth, and each step of the setup process is clearly defined and intuitive. You have the option to create invoices and set up payment schedules. You can even receive payments through the Appointy booking website.
While we were able to quickly and easily embed this scheduler into our website and social media accounts, it only earned a score of 70 percent in our embedding integration tests. This scheduler does not provide a link leading back to your booking website. Appointy also integrates with your social media sites. This allows your clients to connect with the application directly from your Facebook or Twitter page.
Appointy integrates with calendaring systems like Google calendar and iCal. However, it doesn't merge with Salesforce or accounting solutions, so you'll have to handle payment information separately.
Appointy is a clean scheduling software application that performed well in our client-scheduling tests. Your clients can receive text message reminders and pay for services through the appointment portal. Embedding the program into your business website or Facebook page is easy. Overall, this meeting planner is an intuitive platform with most of the features necessary for small business scheduling systems.
