The stock memory of this machine can be upgraded to 4GB. However, one disappointing feature is that if the memory is upgraded after initial purchase, the provided memory cards may have to be replaced with optional larger memory cards in order to reach the maximum capacity of 8GB.
When compared to the base systems of other brands, the 160GB hard drive will be considered small by some. However, this storage device can also be expanded to a 320GB SATA hard drive. Acer boasts that the Veriton M480G-ED6300C is “green” because the computer complies with PC ENERGY STAR, GS and EPEAT Silver certifications, which reduce maintenance costs, extend the lifespan of hardware and make the Veriton M480G-ED6300C easier to recycle when that fateful day arrives.
The Acer Veriton M480G-ED6300C is a robust system that is capable of performing the majority of all business tasks. Its green status provides not only energy efficiency but demonstrates Acer’s concern for the environment. Both end users and management alike will appreciate the TPM based encryption that protects sensitive information and data. This machine is perfect for the traditional office setting, however, if there’s a need to run advanced graphic programs such as video editing, a more powerful computer should be considered.
