PC Security Shield’s antivirus function is powered by F-Secure Antivirus so this software offers all of the antivirus features that F-Secure does including realtime, scheduled, manual and heuristic scanning.

This suite includes a complete antispyware function that will detect keyloggers, trojans, browser hijackers and other spyware threats. PC Security Shield will also protect against phishing schemes, spam and it offers parental controls.

The security software comes with tutorials, a user guide and FAQs are posted on their website. These will teach you the basics of the software and answer common questions. However, we didn’t have a good experience with the customer support.

We called customer service with a simple question. We were put on hold just to have our connection cut off. When we called back,  no one answered. We continued to try to reach customer support with no success and finally left a message that was never returned.

Furthermore, we were promised a trial download through email and never received it.

The software has some good features and at $49.99, it’s the best-priced suite in this review. However, we feel the software is only as good as the company backing it, and PC Security Shield’s customer support was a disappointment.
