Thin is in, especially when it comes to smartphones. The Samsung Infuse 4G is the thinnest 4G smartphone available. This cellular device offers excellent design features such as a large Super AMOLED touchscreen and a lightweight design. It also comes with dual cameras, outstanding battery life and the Android 2.2 operating system. This smartphone also provides excellent multimedia features with the Samsung Media Hub.
One of the standout features available on the Samsung Infuse 4G is its thin design. This smartphone is only 0.35 inches thin, making it easy to slip into any pocket, purse or bag. It features a large 4.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen that is responsive and vibrant. The display offers excellent image quality with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The advantage of having the Super AMOLED display, besides the vibrant image quality, is that it's energy-efficient, providing you with a longer battery life.
Unfortunately, with such a large touchscreen, the smartphone must also be tall and wide. The Infuse 4G is 5.2 inches tall and 2.8 inches wide. But despite its large dimensions, the thin size doesn’t make the device feel too large and bulky.
The Samsung Infuse 4G offers dual cameras. It features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, giving you the ability to video chat. You can capture 720p HD video using this smartphone. And with the power of 4G, you can quickly stream videos, TV shows and music to the smartphone. This cellular device comes with complete access to the Samsung Media Hub where you can access movies, TV shows and music, but you may have some difficulty finding the media you are looking for since the app is anything but intuitive.
No matter what features you enjoy most, your smartphone’s main purpose is to make high-quality phone calls. The Samsung Infuse 4G provides that quality performance and offers several features and tools to ensure effective calling. There are all of the basics included on this smartphone such as a call timer, caller ID, call waiting, call hold and conference calling. A speakerphone is also available on the smartphone that allows for excellent hands-free calls.
The battery life available is not the best we've seen on a smartphone, but it still provides adequate time for both standby and talk time. The Infuse 4G offers up to 400 hours of standby time. This is the amount of time the phone will remain powered on a single battery charge with little use. This smartphone also offers up to 480 minutes of talk time. This is the amount of power the device uses when the display is active or when you’re making calls.
The Samsung Infuse 4G offers you Wi-Fi, GPS and it can even be used as a mobile hotspot. This smartphone offers all the features you need for the Infuse to become a hand-held computer. It uses the Android 2.2 operating system, which surprised us. We expected it to use the newest OS available, the Android 2.3, also known as Gingerbread. Although, the Android 2.2 works excellently and with the 4G capabilities and the 1.2GHz high-speed processor, the phone was fast and there was minimal wait time for programs to open or download.
The Samsung Infuse 4G is an excellent smartphone with a lot of features to offer its users. We loved the design of the device and we were amazed by the thinness of the phone. The touchscreen was outstanding and offered gorgeous images. The dual cameras and video chat capabilities are benefits of using this device, along with the provided battery life. This smartphone is an excellent choice for a fast hand-held computing device.
