The philosophy behind the Maker’s Diet is that you should eat the way God intended. The Maker’s Diet is a 40–day program based on creator Jordan S. Rubin’s nutritional interpretation of the bible. Ideally, through eating the way God intended, combined with spiritual guidance, you can lose weight and have a healthier lifestyle.

A typical diet consisted mostly of fruits, vegetables, wild grain and seeds. Fish, meat from wild animals is acceptable and raw, unpasteurized dairy products. According to Rubin we must examine exactly which foods are unclean, unhealthy, or unacceptable according to both God and science. This includes avoiding processed and prepackaged foods, as well as pork, catfish, crab, lobster or clams.

The Maker’s Diet online provides numerous tools to help you with your weight loss endeavors including weekly, customized meal plans, shopping lists and a supportive community.

The Maker’s Diet does provide a vague tutorial including a video of its founder attesting to the power of his diet program, even giving a testimonial about how it saved his life. The tutorial does not include the specifics of the diet and provides very little explanation as to how the various tools offered are beneficial.

This diet program focuses only on food and your spiritual well–being. The tools provided do not help or encourage exercise. There is also no contact information prior to signing up and paying for the program.

The Makers Diet is $51.97 billed approx. every 12 weeks. You may cancel at anytime; however there is a minimum four week non–refundable commitment.
