It is my strong opinion that this is a personal question. What kind of fish do you catch in the joyous river of music? Music's potential is only as limited as you allow it to be.

In the U.S according to the amount of albums sold, it would be the Eagles Greatest hits II. But globally it would be Thriller by Michael Jackson.

The Eagles Greatest Hits II gets my vote. There aren't very many songs on the album, but every song is a classic.

This question is impossible to answer. So many albums to fit so many different moods and times of life... Some albums high in the running in my opinion; Godspeed You! Black Emperor "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven" Bob Dylan "Blood on the Tracks" Explosions in the Sky "The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place" Neutral Milk Hotel "In the Aeroplane over the Sea" Pearl Jam "Vitalogy" (Yes, Better than Ten) Radiohead "Ok Computer" Neil Young "Harvest" Mogwai "Happy Songs for Happy People"

I don't know what it is about the Matchbox 20 album "Yourself or Someone Like You" but I really like every song on that album. It's one of the few albums I can listen to from start to finish without feeling an urge to skip forward. As for being the best one of all time? I doubt that one is in the running, but it stands out in my book.

The Best of Paul Overstreet if you are into old time country. He is one of my favorites.

Pearl Jam's Ten. No greater album in my book. And Pearl Jam hasn't come close to topping it since, sadly.

The Eagles: Hell Freezes Over. But only because there was so much anticipation leading up to the album (the band getting back together after years of separation...and touring). This was probably the best album ever in terms of the music compounded with the experience and the behind-the-scenes stories associated with it. But that's the mystery with the Eagles...right? The band has horrible relationships...and great music.

There are so many to choose from. I take a lot into consideration summing up what I think the greatest albums are to me. Pink Floyd's, The Wall and Wish You Were Here; The Cars Greatest Hits; Anthony Hamilton's, Soulife; Maroon Five's (Acoustic Version) of Songs About Jane; and The Beach Boy Platinum Collection. All of those albums mean something to me and I can listen to them over and over.
