NetCaptor uses Internet Explorer as a foundation; in fact, Internet Explorer must be installed on your PC in order to use this browser.
NetCaptor adds some useful features to the basic Internet Explorer browser. It is equipped with tabbed browsing and you can customize the settings to block pop–ups and advertisements to save time and bandwidth.
A couple of other noteworthy features allow you to create a search using multiple search engines at once. You can choose to search with one or more of you favorite search engines. Choose from AltaVista, Google, Yahoo, Lycos and more. You can also choose the type of search you want to perform; some examples include Web, Books and Reference.
The other prominent feature, called Captor Groups, allows you to save a group of webpages for later reference. This is a great feature if you’re researching a topic on the Internet.
You can also download and add AI RoboForm to your NetCaptor tool bar. This third–party program will save your important information and instantly import it into web forms making signing up for accounts and subscriptions simple and fast.
This is a functional, easy–to–use browser but because it isn’t a stand–alone browser, it ranks slightly lower in our review. Furthermore, it lacks a number exceptional features found in the higher–ranking browsers. A few of these features include parental controls and other add–ons, RSS feeds, voice interaction and thumbnail previews of websites.
If you have problems or questions, you can contact NetCaptor by email. Additionally, a number of web resources will teach you about the browser.
Overall, this isn’t our favorite browser, but it does have some good qualities and will be easy to use for anyone that has used Internet Explorer. It’s a FREE download so you can try it out for yourself, but we would recommend a higher–ranked browser like Opera or Internet Explorer 7.
