Pros / You can access all the tools and features in this program from the main window of the interface.
Cons / There are no features that allow you to customize your DVD copies.
Verdict / Aimersoft offers some other great DVD-burning applications, but its DVD Copy for Mac is a disappointment.

Aimersoft's DVD utilities are consistently high quality and come with a lot of features, but Aimersoft DVD Copy for Mac doesn't quite meet these high standards. Unfortunately, this Mac DVD burning software is truncated and limited in its usefulness.
The interface is modest with only two fields to manipulate before you begin burning your disc. These options allow you to choose where you will be copying and burning files, but unless you have a Mac with multiple DVD drives, this won't benefit you much as this will always be the same drive.
Once you load the disc you want to copy, all you have to do is click Start to begin burning the DVD. On one hand, the lack of extra features makes Aimersoft's DVD burner a very easy program to use. However, you lose common customization tools. Because of this, you only have one option for copying DVDs and that is to copy the entire contents of the disc. There are no options that let you only copy the main movie and leave out the menus or special features. This can be a big problem if you're copying a commercial DVD.
Most commercial DVD movies are sold on DVD-9, or DVD-DL discs that hold 9GB of data. Most writable DVDs are DVD-5 discs, which only hold 5GB of information. Since this application copies the original commercial DVD-9 without first compressing the file, be forewarned that you'll have trouble fitting movies onto the more common DVD-5 discs. Without the ability to select the content you wish to copy, you must purchase the more expensive DVD-9 blank discs if you wish to copy a commercial DVD.
This DVD burning software gives you the ability to save DVD content to your local hard drive, but the application is limited to copying the raw files and folders on the disc. These files are of limited utility to the average user. Aimersoft claims this software can rip the disc image (ISO file) onto your hard drive, but we weren't able to verify that. In fact, we found no such ability in the program's interface.

Aimersoft DVD Burning for Mac is a single-function application designed to burn DVDs. It accomplishes this task while maintaining a simple interface, but it lacks any related abilities found in the best DVD burning software we reviewed. You cannot customize or compress the content found on the discs you want to copy. This is a disappointment from a manufacturer that usually produces excellent applications.
