Texting Ban, Computer Grave, Google...

While illegal in some states, texting while driving just got another restrictionfrom the President. All federal employees are not allowed to text while driving. The restrictions stem from an executive order President Obama signed Wednesday night. Federal employees who drive government cars or cell phones cannot text. Also they can't text when their using their personal cell phones and cars on government business. Well at least we know that the federal employees will drive a little safer without the use of the cell phones for texting-but what about the rest of us??? Google has added new features to its search bar. The bar which came out in May lets users filter their search result by time, images, videos, and other criteria. The new search options take those filter capabilities a step further. If you love blogs and books there is now a filter option for you. You can also search for content found in the last hour. Now here's a feature I like-users can use the search history feature to see only the results they used before. It's an easy way to get back to a page you've already seen. That's great when you can't remember what great website you found 2 weeks ago. Google has added a slew of new features this last week to its search functions-perhaps just to stay in line with Microsoft's Bing search buzz. We cover a lot of different news, but never one quite like this. Cnet reports that one man took his love of computers to the ultimate death. A man named Alan has his last resting place in the inside of a SPARCstation computer. Alan's brother decided that as a supposedly geeky man, Alan should rest forever in the inside of the computer. The word's ìbeam me up Scotty. I'm done here.î Are written on the Sparcstation. And with this-I ask you what would your ideal final resting place be-Perhaps in the inside of your XBOX or the first Mac you bought? With the deteriorating newspaper industry and the hardship that many journalists face financially a group has called for all US citizens to get online. The group is The Knight Commission on the Information Needs of Communities in a Democracy. The group urged every US citizen to get broadband access. With the financial burdens that the news industry faces, the group is worried that citizens will not get the information they need. The group also urged government leaders to make online access easier for ever US citizen. Currently more than one third of Americans don't subscribe to broadband services. Plus in many rural places around the country, getting access isn't even possible yet.
