T-Mobile Cant Find Info, Stylish Smartphone...
TopTenREPORTS Your Tech News Resource
How your grandparents keep Facebook popular, Microsoft and T-mobile owe an apology sidekick owners and now there is a phone to match that expensive suit you just bought. If you own a T-Mobile sidekick phone you may have lost all the information you store on your phone. That's right, ALL of it, even your contact numbers. T-mobile released a statement saying that thousands of customer information stored on a Microsoft run server was "almost certainly" lost after their servers failed. This is after a week of sporadic data outages. The outages were complicated by the fact that some customers attempted to restart their phones by removing their batteries. When the batteries come out data is erased. The data has to then be restored by contacting T-mobile servers. But when the servers went down there was nowhere to restore the data from. Microsoft, T-Mobile both say they will continue to try to recover the lost information. But it's not looking good. Adobe's powerful photo editing software "Photoshop" is now available on the iPhone and iPod touch. The Photoshop application offers the most basic photo editing tools. It works in conjunction with photoshop.com. You need an account but it the account is free and offers you 2 gigabytes of storage. The application is also free, but be aware that you won't be able to do any advanced image manipulation. But it is a great app for editing photos you've taken with your iPhone. The photoshop.com app is available in the iTunes store right now. Giorgio Armani announced the third iteration of their smart phone. Judging from the specs, you are rally paying for the Armani brand rather than its technical capabilities. The new phone comes with a touch screen display, a five megapixel camera, 8 gigs of internal memory and GPS. Now that's all well and good, a very capable phone. But it costs more than a thousand dollars. The phone is being hailed by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer as "the most fashionable phone he's ever had the chance to talk about". The latest social networking numbers are in. No surprise that Facebook is still number one. Facebook's market share has grown by a whopping 192 percent in the last twelve months. Facebook's growth is being fueled by older users coming into social networks for the first time. Thirteen percent of Facebook users are over the age of fifty five. The Facebook network has the most users in this demographic. Although older users are keeping Facebook on top, their main user base continues to be users between 18 and 34. That demographic comprise over 50% of their user base. Sony's unveiled a new touch screen multimedia machine. The VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV is now available for preorder. The idea behind the VIAO L is to be both a computer and an HDTV in one. Senior Vice President of Sony Business group said "The L series is the ultimate multi-media hub; its your PC, HDTV and DVR in on compact, stylish device." Convenient. The VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV starts at about 1,300 dollars and is available for preorder at sonystyle.com.
