EarthSoft Bluray DVD Copy is a basic Blu-ray to DVD converter application that doesn’t have many of the bells and whistles found in some of its competitors.

Despite its lack of a wide feature set, the application proves to be a viable option if you are seeking software that exclusively renders Blu-ray to DVD conversions.

You should find the layout and overall design of this Blu-ray to DVD software to be accessible. It certainly isn't the most aesthetically appealing interface we came across but it offers simple navigation and a clean, professional presentation. Beginner and intermediate users are likely to find the software more beneficial and glean more use from it than advanced users will.

When it comes to the quality of its converted video, EarthSoft Bluray DVD Copy creates fairly decent output. There is some quality loss in both the audio and video of the converted videos. However, the decline is minor, and is to be expected when you convert a high definition video file to fit on a standard definition DVD.

The most important feature on this Blu-ray ripper is its internal decryption tools. This allows the software to remove almost all copy protections found on commercial DVDs. Because it’s built in, you don’t have to scour the web looking for third-party applications that will remove the copy protection on your movies. This saves a lot of time and unlocks the content you’ve paid for to do with what you wish.

This software has no customization features. That translates to no options that enable you to add artistic effects, crop the video frame, add a watermark or create a custom menu on your output DVD. Thus, you should look elsewhere if you’re looking for an application that will let you craft a unique DVD.

While EarthSoft Bluray DVD Copy can be a suitable application for some, it may not be the best option if you want a robust editing suite to create highly personalized output DVDs. Additionally, the software tends to be a bit pricier than many comparable products. However, there's no question the software can convert Blu-ray to DVD – its sole capacity – very well.
