The Airspeed Exact Pet from Eureka is designed with pet owners in mind, and it's geared toward performing frequent, heavy-duty cleaning and vacuuming of varied surfaces and household areas. Out of the box, there is some assembly required, but it snaps together quickly and no tools are needed.
This model weighs only 13 pounds and features a Smooth-Glide base to move over carpets and between surfaces easily. This budget vacuum's total dimensions are 13 inches wide by 12.4 inches long, and it stands 43 inches high. The front floor brush has a low profile, which allows you to reach under furniture such as beds or dressers.
The Exact Pet features handy on-board tools that clean where the main brush roller can't reach. The PET Power Paw is a mini power roller brush designed to vacuum upholstery and carpeted stairs, and it can reach into tight spaces. There is also a Pet Dusting brush with plastic teeth designed especially for picking up pet hair. Finally, a crevice tool grabs dirt and dust from baseboards and corners. All of these attachments can be used with the extension wand for increased reach and to minimize bending and stooping.
This budget vacuum has a dial switch near the top of the machine that allows you to direct suction to either the floor nozzle or the on-board tools. The airflow of the machine is designed for efficiency, with a short path between the floor and the dirt canister and minimal bends in the hose. This helps prevent clogs that can hinder suction and take up your time if you have to clean out the hoses.
The cord length is 27 feet – a bit longer than most – giving you the ability to vacuum large areas of your home without having to unplug and switch outlets. An 8 foot stretch hose gives you even further reach.
There are five height adjustment settings on the floor roller, including one for bare floors, so this vacuum can clean just about any surface in your home. The roller can be turned off for non-carpeted floors.
A high efficiency HEPA filter on the dirt cup traps 99 percent of dust and helps eliminate pet dander, pollen and other allergens. This filter is washable and should be cleaned about once a month. The Exact Pet also has an exhaust filter that you should replace every six to 12 months, depending on your usage.
