Our Brooklyn Signature mattress review for 2020 finds a low-priced option for savvy mattress shoppers. But are you sacrificing quality to save a few bucks? The Brooklyn Signature Hybrid is made up of four layers of foam and pocketed coils.

It’s perfect for those sleepers who enjoy the feel of memory foam but just need a little extra support when they sleep. It also comes in three different firmnesses: soft, medium (best seller) and firm.

The pricing alone puts it among this year's best mattress online picks, although it won’t satisfy all needs in the same way that a number of its competitors do.

Brooklyn Signature mattress review: Pricing and value

The Brooklyn signature prices are pretty much in line with its competitors such as Helix. The Brooklyn Bedding company does offer a lot of discounts throughout the year, so if you’re looking to get a good deal, this is the company to watch for. All our pricing on site is up to the minute, so what you see in this review is usually the cheapest you can get.

The prices also remain the same regardless of what firmness level you decide to opt for and includes free shipping and returns, so the value here is excellent. The only company that compares in terms of delivery is the Saatva Classic, which does white glove delivery direct to home.

The RRP of the Brooklyn mattress ranges from $599 for a twin to $1249 for a Cal King. Pricing is as follows: Twin: $599 | Twin XL: $699 | Full: $849 | Queen: $949 | King: $1249 | CA King: $1249

  • Good for couples
  • Offers a cool sleep
  • Decent edge support

This mattress is ideal for those who share a bed for two reasons: the motion isolation is fantastic - especially for a bed with coils. Secondly, the edge support is strong, so you can have distance without the worry of falling off.

A lot of this performance is down to the coils being pockets, as they are set independently of each other, which helps isolate movement. So if you have a partner who likes to get up and down a lot or shifts a lot in their sleep, chances are with the Brooklyn Signature you’ll barely feel it, therefore, leading to a more restful sleep. For added comfort, consider adding a bed topper too.

This mattress is also perfect for those who don’t enjoy sleeping hot. Whilst it won’t be cool to touch, you won’t find that you’re waking up at night feeling as though the heaters are still running. If you’re a heavier sleeper, you may find that going for the firmer mattress will help keep you cooler as you’ll be less likely to sink in and generate more heat.

Brooklyn Signature Mattress review: Features

  • Four-layer mattress
  • A combination of foam and coils
  • A luxury feel thanks to the quilted top

This mattress has four distinct layers. The base layer is 1" of dense support foam with 6” of individually pocketed coils sitting on top. The coils give the bed a strong support structure, so you’ll feel the difference on your key pressure points when you’re sleeping.

There is then a 2" layer of TitanFlex support foam - this layer differs slightly depending on your chosen thickness levels. Finally, the top layer is the "TitanFlex Comfort" layer, which is a patented hyper-elastic propriety foam that is soft but still responsive. This top layer also has TitaniumGel infused to help with keeping the bed cool for any hot sleepers. Making it Brooklyn Signature's best cooling mattress.

The mattress is topped off by a 1.5” quilted foam cover, this is what gives it a luxurious and padded feel. However, unlike rival mattresses, this cover isn’t removable so you may wish to invest in a mattress protector before use.

Brooklyn Signature Mattress: User reviews

Customer reviews for the Brooklyn Signature highlighted how this mattress has eased back and joint pain as well as being ideal for those who like to switch sleeping positions throughout the night.

Shipping times are also commended with it taking approximately five days from order to delivery. Out of over 5,000 reviews, the Brooklyn Bedding mattress received an impressive 4.7 out of 5 stars

Should you buy a Brooklyn Signature mattress?

We are really impressed by the Brooklyn Signature Hybrid mattress. We found that this mattress offered the perfect combination of foam and springs to give it the feel of a memory foam mattress whilst providing the support and bounce of a coil based one.

This is a particularly good mattress for combination sleepers (plus anyone specifically active at night), but back and stomach sleepers will find a huge amount of pressure relief on offer. Perhaps not as much as similarly priced rivals, like the Purple Mattress, but very close to it.

At prices ranging from $599 - $1249 the mattress is extremely good value and there are five other models in Brooklyn Bedding range, so if the Signature isn’t for you, there are plenty more choices.
