The Braun Series 3’s battery provides 45 minutes of shaving on a full charge – the equivalent of 15 three-minute shaves. An LED display lets you know when the battery is low. If the battery is depleted and you don’t have an hour for a full charge, it has a five-minute quick-charge function to give you enough power for one shave. For comparison, the Wahl LifeProof 7061-100 has a 90-minute battery life with a one-minute quick-charge feature.
While many razors have pop-up trimmers, the Braun’s is mounted on the unit. Braun’s later-generation models – the Series 5, Series 7 and Series 9 – have more streamlined trimmers, but they are also smaller.
