The Seville Classics UltraSlimline is a highly functional and affordable 40-inch tower fan. It’s the best overall in our comparison for a few reasons. Firstly, it is a powerful fan that oscillates widely and effectively blows air across a large room. It performed well in our hands-on tests and has all the functionality most people need in the best tower fan.

Seville Classics UltraSlimline tower fan: Main features

As tower fans should be, the UltraSlimline is straightforward and easy to use. Remote controls for these units are minimalistic by nature and the Seville Classics remote is no exception. This remote, however, has five buttons, which is more than average and makes it more useful than many of the remotes we worked with. You can control every function of the fan using the remote, which is not always the case.

You can use the remote to set the timer, a feature not found on all tower fans, and the remote has more timer settings than the controls on the unit itself. You can set the fan to turn off anytime between a half hour and 7.5 hours using the remote, but the unit itself only has settings for up to four hours. There is a handy clip on the back of the unit to hang the remote so you don’t lose it. It can get bumped off easily however, unlike some of the snug remote storage space on other units.

The UltraSlimline is a powerful fan with a strong airflow. It has four speed settings, while most of the fans we tested have just three. Some exceptions are the Dyson AM07, which has 10, and the Honeywell QuietSet, with eight. The contrast between the lowest and highest setting is dramatic, and it’s nice to have this kind of variability. It has a wide 95-degree oscillation range for maximum circulation.

Seville Classics UltraSlimline tower fan: Design & functionality

The Seville Classics UltraSlimline tower fan performed well in our tests. It has all the power most people need in a tower fan. It’s not the quietest fan we tested, especially at the higher settings, though the lowest two settings are extremely quiet. It is about in the middle of the pack in terms of noise, but a powerful fan at its maximum setting is bound to make some background noise. Still, it’s quiet enough that you can have a regular conversation without raising your voice even if you’re sitting right next to it.

This UltraSlimline model comes in two colors, black and white, so you can fit it into your décor to some extent. It’s a nice-looking fan you can set discreetly into the corner of most rooms so it doesn’t stand out too much or get in the way. It is well-constructed overall. Like most tower fans, it’s a bit wobbly, but not to the point of being unstable, and it won’t fall over unless you run into it. Most important, it functions well and will give you the right amount of air circulation for your space.

Seville Classics UltraSlimline tower fan: Help & support

The Seville Classics tower fan comes with a standard one-year warranty, which is enough time to get some use out of it before it expires, but well below the best warranties out there. The Vornado Tower 184, in contrast, has a five-year warranty. The Seville Classics website has good support options. You have several email options, including an online email form, and a toll-free number you can call if you need help right away. There is no live chat option, however. You can also download an online PDF manual.
