Why you can trust Top Ten Reviews Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test.

The Gourmia GPC-625 6 Quart is best suited for people who want to do more than simply pressure cook. This 6-quart device offers plenty of cooking methods and food presets to make food preparation easier. If you like the look of this device, Gourmia also offers it in 4, 8, 10 and 12-quart capacities, so you can find the size that fits your needs best.

This 6-quart pressure cooker offers seven preset food buttons to get your meals cooking quickly, and it includes four cooking methods: steam, pressure cook, sauté and slow cook. All these options make it easier for you to cook foods like poultry, soup and rice. It also features a dessert button to help you make cakes and other desserts quickly. This interface was more confusing to read than other devices we tested. Fortunately, it comes with a thorough, color-photograph-filled instruction manual to help you use it. Still, we would prefer a device that didn’t have us looking to the manual as frequently, especially if you are prone to misplacing your manuals. We also had problems getting power to this device since it would sometimes shut off and would only turn on after we jiggled the cord.

In our testing, the Gourmia cooked the rice thoroughly and the pot roast was decently flavored but a little dry to compared to others. This device took 28 minutes and 30 seconds to fully complete the rice test, which is on the longer side of things. The rice itself came out thoroughly cooked and not very sticky. We noticed this device tells you the temperature inside the pot as it cooks, which isn’t something the other devices did.

Keep in mind that there is a minimum fill line within the inner pot. If liquid doesn’t reach this line, the water could evaporate when cooking and the food might burn. It features a 24-hour delay timer so you can plan meals for later in your day. After the machine is done cooking, it automatically switches to keep warm and can stay this way for up to four hours so you won’t have to worry about your food getting cold. Like the best Instant Pots, this machine features an indicator pin that lets you know when the device is shut properly, although Gourmia’s is rather confusing at first and we second guessed ourselves a few times until we got it right.

The instruction manual features a cooking time table that lists the times and pressure settings that work best for specific foods so you can easily reference it when you need to. A stainless steel steaming rack, measuring cup and plastic serving spoon are included. The exterior is made of stainless steel, and the inner pot has a non-stick coating, which scrubbed out easily after cooking. The manufacturer states that none of the items should be placed inside a dishwasher. This means that cleaning up can take longer since everything will need to be washed by hand.

Gourmia’s warranty covers one year, which is average for pressure cookers. The machine automatically locks when pressure cooking and only unlocks when a safe amount of pressure has been released to keep you safe.
