Chase Bank offers its customers a convenient way to pay their bills online. Your billing options of manual or automatic payments can save you time and money. You can also use the Chase Mobile app to add accounts, schedule payments and see your activity wherever you go. Automatic payments help you avoid late fees and blemishes on your credit.
Enrolling online is easy. If you don't have a Chase banking account, you need to set one up before you begin with Chase Online Bill Pay. Once you sign up, you can set up payees and save yourself the trouble of writing checks and buying postage to pay your bills.
Chase Online Bill Pay is available right from your Chase online account, so there is no need to log on to a separate service. You just find the Payments and Transfers tab and then input the companies or people you want to receive your payments. Once they are set up, you can pay bills online either manually or by setting up automatically recurring payments.
With this bill payment service, you can pay anyone from your mortgage lender to your landscaper. Payees that accept electronic payments receive the delivered funds in one or two days. Chase also sends paper checks to payees that are not set up for electronic payments. It takes up to five days to deliver paper checks, so be sure to give enough lead time when scheduling payments.
You can set payments to recur weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly, quarterly or yearly. If you are interested in paying a loan off early, you can set extra payments. This is helpful, since it's not always easy to send additional payments for some loans. Chase sends you notifications when activity occurs on your bill pay accounts. You receive an email when a new statement is available online.
The Chase Mobile app puts all your banking information at your fingertips. You can see your account balances, make mobile deposits, set up new bill payees, make payments and see your payment activity. The bill paying app works on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices. You can download and use the app for free.
If you set up payments correctly and Chase does not pay on time, it covers 100 percent of the resulting late fees. This removes the worry of using a third party to help you fulfill your financial responsibilities. Chase also uses advanced encryption services to keep your information safe.
