TravelNow.com is one of the online travel sites reviewed here that features airfare, hotel, vacation packages, car rentals and cruise bookings.
The destination guides available here are thorough and fun to look through whether you’re booking a trip or just dreaming of escape. A world map lets you click anywhere on it to receive a list of top destinations for that area, top rated attractions, top rated restaurants and traveler photos. Another unique feature we saw here is a golf course search engine and online tee time booking capabilities!
This site also features a road trip section where you can plug in a ZIP code and the site returns a list of destinations accessible by short car trip (6 hours maximum). This is a great research tool for people planning a mini-break for the day or weekend. The search returns will show you prices for/allow you to book hotels and attractions in the chosen area.
TravelNow.com advertises a Low Hotel Rate Guarantee. If you find a hotel rate on other online travel sites lower than the “Special Internet Rate” you’ve booked with TravelNow.com they will match the rate, lower the rate or cancel your reservation all together. In order to qualify every detail has to be the same including hotel and dates.
TravelNow.com charges a $10 dollar service fee for each plane ticket purchased through the website. All prices shown in your search already include this fee. Additionally, there is a $10 dollar fee if you need or require paper tickets.
Unfortunately, TravelNow doesn’t include any real-time travel resources. They have excellent destination guides that are very informative and educational on various locations around the world. However, we would have like to have seen travel news and updates, weather information and the ability to check your flight status.
We were disappointed with TravelNow’s customer service. We sent them an email and they promptly responded within a day. However, since we didn’t have a reservation with the company they didn’t answer our question. We sent a follow–up email and received a response four days later.
