Pros / Its service fees were among the lowest we found.
Cons / This site doesn’t have an interactive seating chart.
Verdict / TicketsNow is not the best place to start your search, but you can use it to compare ticket prices against some of the larger brokers’ sites.
TicketsNow is part of the Ticketmaster family of online concert ticket sites. In fact, you may be redirected to TicketsNow from Ticketmaster if the seats you’re looking for aren’t available there. Unlike Ticketmaster, TicketsNow is a secondary broker, which means you can find tickets to sold-out concerts made available by a network of ticket brokers and consumers selling tickets. Its service fees are lower than on most secondary broker sites, and we found that the ticket prices were also lower than on most sites we compared.
Selling tickets on TicketsNow is easy, too. You find the concert, click on the Sell Tickets button and fill out the forms. You set your price but also set a minimum selling price, which allows the service to adjust the price to make it competitive with market value, increasing your chances of a sale. TicketsNow takes a 15-percent commission, so be sure to factor that into your asking price and minimum price. Most online ticket brokers we reviewed that have a resell feature only charge a 10-percent commission.
TicketsNow has a very secure website, with third-party security and privacy from VeriSign and TRUSTe, both well-known experts in the business. It is also a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, which promotes ethics in the secondary ticket marketplace.
All transactions are verified by Ticketmaster, but TicketsNow does not have the same return policy. However, the service offers ticket insurance for a small fee, as well as exchanges in some cases. The lack of an interactive seating chart can make searching for seats a bit difficult, but it may be worth digging a little deeper to save money on service and shipping fees.
This service has a good complement of customer support features, including phone and email support seven days a week. We found the FAQs section had answers to most questions, but you can’t contact the customer support team via live chat.
TicketsNow doesn’t have the ordering conveniences and service features we look for in the best online concert ticket sites. However, if you are directed to the site from Ticketmaster, you are probably saving money compared to shopping at other secondary brokers we reviewed. Its selling fee is high compared to other sites, but TicketsNow’s partnership with Ticketmaster should give you access to more concert goers than the competition.
