It doesn’t have the cheapest prices on cartridges, but CompAndSave’s programs for organizations make it easy to buy in bulk. For example, when you sign up for a corporate account, you can track your order history. Unlike on other sites, CompAndSave assigns your company an account manager, and it also gives you more bulk ordering options than its competitors.

CompAndSave earned lower scores in our inventory evaluation than the best discount ink cartridge stores, 4inkjets and Inkcartridges, because it doesn’t sell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) ink cartridges. But of the sites that only sell remanufactured cartridges, it has the best stock. In addition to ink, you can buy printing supplies like cables and paper, as well as 3D printing necessities, so it’s a good place to shop if you want to buy all your print room supplies in one place.

The store offers a variety of shipping options for orders delivered within the United States. Orders over $50 ship for free – a lower minimum than even some of the best sites we reviewed require. If you don’t meet the minimum, standard shipping costs $3.99. You can also select, two- to three-day shipping or next-day shipping at checkout; however, the cartridges ship from Newark, California, and prices vary depending on your location. You can send cartridges or toner to Canada, but there are limits on shipping speed. These shipping options are comparable to those on most of the sites we reviewed.

Subscribing to CompAndSave’s email list can save you money in a couple ways. First, doing so drops the minimum for free shipping from $50 to only $35, one of the lowest thresholds we’ve seen. In addition, email subscribers periodically receive coupons and deals.

If you make a return within 10 days of the delivery date, the store also refunds your shipping costs. After that, CompAndSave doesn’t refund shipping, but you can still return or exchange defective products for up to 365 days. If you discover you no longer need the cartridges you ordered, you can exchange them for store credit within that same window. You can also get a cash refund, but the store has a 15-percent restocking fee.

CompAndSave provides helpful information to consumers that most of its competitors don’t. For example, its site has information about how to recycle cartridges and troubleshoot problems. The store also has live chat, phone and email contact information in case you need to work with customer support.
