IMatch 5 provides you with organizational tools – like tagging, ratings and color labels – you can use to manage a large collection of photos. In addition, the standard editing tools help you perfect your images and then share them with friends.
While you cannot directly import photos from a camera, thumb drive or scanner, you can upload the photos to your hard drive and then begin organizing and editing them. Beyond the natively supported image file formats, including relevant RAW formats, this application is compatible with over 120 file types through built-in plugins or standard Windows Imaging codecs. You can also add missing or custom file formats to the application. Unlike other software, IMatch manages your files where they are and does not require you to move them to a database.
The photo organizer comes with a variety of tools to help you organize photos. You can add titles, subjects, ratings, keywords and comments to each of your photos. While this can be time consuming, it will save you time later when you are searching for a specific image. You can search for photos by terms, labels, metadata or stars. Having so many search options helps you find your photos quickly.
Since this is a digital asset management program, the software focuses on managing large libraries of photos, videos, audio files and other digital assets. As such, this software does not include an image editor; however, the image batch processor allows you to perform basic edits when you export your photos, including rotate and resize. You can also convert the colors in your photos or apply a special effect to them. The image batch processor has nine special effects, including dodge center, burn center, burn edges, vintage, lomo, pola, cream, dreamy portrait and harry.
After you have sorted and edited your photos, you can begin sharing them. Using IMatch 5, you can create a slideshow and then email it to a friend. You can also upload your photos to an online gallery or simply print them off. Unfortunately, the software does not allow you to post your pictures directly onto social media websites.
This photo organizing software includes various support options. You can access tutorials and reference material in Photools.com’s knowledgebase.
