Grammar Station is a free online resource for grammar, spelling and word usage assistance. Unlike many programs, Grammar Station does not operate with Word, instead you log into their website and cut and paste writing samples into a Grammar or Spell Checker.

This site also offers a grammar guide with several levels of instruction, tips of the day, language activities, quizzes and a grammar glossary. Its tutorial or pop–up assistant is available in English, Chinese and Japanese, making it a good choice for some ESL students or other English language learners.

We signed up for an account and received an email verifying our username and password, yet it didn’t work. We could not insert our three samples.

Although this product is useful, the site is a bit outdated and the chat rooms are empty. However, if you are pressed for funds and need a little grammar help, this may be a good place to start.
