Derin Dundar

Derin Dundar is a fashion merchant turned rug dealer. In 2019, he sold his clothing business in Los Angeles and relocated to his home country of Turkey to focus on a passion project; collecting hand-knotted vintage rugs. What started as a hobby turned into an international trading company during the pandemic. Derin and his team of rug aficionados rediscover and rework mainly 50 to 75-year-old Turkish rugs and resell them to customers worldwide. He also travels around Anatolia to find one-of-a-kind pieces and hand-select each rug, recognizing it as a unique work of art.
