Kate Watkinson works for Burpee Europe Ltd, a seed breeding and wholesale company. She grew up in a nursery and market garden in North Yorkshire, England, where her love for horticulture grew. Kate followed her passion and qualified as a horticulturist, then went on to further training at The National Trust for Scotland. Her experience includes managing grounds maintenance, teaching and training in amenity horticulture as well as being a head gardener. Kate spends her spare time juggling family life and her allotment with her husband and three children.
