RyTech's Small Business Inventory Control inventory software has many easy-to-use tools to help you keep track of your inventory, including serial number control, the ability to view inventory in real time and the ability to use barcode scanning to enter items into your inventory. Its user-friendly interface is augmented by a helpful support section that includes video tutorials. If you don't want to integrate this software with an eCommerce platform or QuickBooks, this inventory management software is definitely worth considering.
One of the standout features of this program is its ability to handle kits. It can assemble and disassemble kits. This is especially useful if you have bundles that may change over time, like seasonal packages or short-term specialty items.
Small Business Inventory Control allows you to use a barcode scanner to import products into your inventory database. Once everything is in, you can view items by location or category. Having these options available is important when you run out of something at one location because you can find a different brand name that a customer would choose instead, or you discover you have the exact product at another location.
This inventory software also comes equipped with an inventory-planning system. This helps you manage the items you sell on a consistent basis to plan reorders or sales strategies, while at the same time showing you which items are not selling as well and do not need to be reordered. It does not warn you about low inventory, however. You need to pull up a report to find that out.
There are a couple of drawbacks to this software that make it less suitable for larger businesses than other inventory control software in our lineup. First, it does not work with multiple businesses nor with online sales channels like Amazon or an online store. If you sell items through these venues, you need to input the transactions in manually. It also does not integrate with QuickBooks. Many of the other inventory tracking software in our lineup connect to this common accounting program. Finally, it works with one user only, so if you have someone else who does your inventory work, you need to share your password and give that person access to the entire program.
We found this inventory management software simple to use. It offers easy-to-understand icons on the left side of the screen that take you to whichever section you need to work in. The software has separate icons for inventory, purchasing, sales and administration. A snapshot of your inventory located in the inventory section includes the number of different SKUs you have, the number of manufacturers you work with and more. It took a few minutes to get used to the fact that each task pops up as a separate window that you need to close once the task is done, but otherwise, the interface is very intuitive. RyTech offers multiple video tutorials on its website to help you get acquainted with the software.
The company also offers an email address and list of FAQs on its website. It also has a forum where you can gain insight and information from other users.
Small Business Inventory Control software is user friendly and comes with the most important features needed to manage your stock and sales. The barcode scanner integration is a big plus, but this software does not integrate with QuickBooks or eCommerce platforms. In all, it's a good software to consider, particularly if you have a small business.
