Jon Stapley is an experienced writer and journalist who covers tech, photography and more. As well as contributing to TopTen Reviews, he has written for Digital Camera World, Black + White Photography magazine, Creative BLOQ, Wex Photo Video, Amateur Photographer, Trusted Reviews and plenty more. 


Jon studied journalism in Brighton back in the early 2010s, cutting his teeth reporting stories for the local newspaper, the Brighton Argus. Since then he has relocated to London and made a career of freelancing for a huge host of publications. While working for photography magazines, he discovered a love for film photography, and since then is rarely seen without a 40-year-old SLR camera in hand.


Contributing to TopTenReviews helps Jon explore his love of the latest gadgets – after all, it's not all about analogue. As a music-lover he especially appreciates trying out the latest headphones and smart speakers, and he will absolutely give you his detailed opinions on the best album by The National if you give him a chance. Spoiler: it's Boxer. But he likes the new stuff too.


When not writing about tech or taking pictures, Jon enjoys gaming, reading, creative writing and finding the latest places in London to eat good food and drink good cocktails, ideally a dry martini.
