As a New Year’s Eve party host, you may feel under pressure to make it a night to remember. A hot tub will certainly help you stand out from the crowd and impress your friends and family. You’ll be everyone’s favorite host - and the envy of your neighbors.

Upgrade your New Year's Eve party with a hot tub

1) Add a wow factor

A hot tub party is a surefire way to dazzle your guests this New Year’s Eve. Who knows, you may even start a new trend.

With a hot tub taking center stage, you can host a night to remember and make memories you’ll treasure for years.

Even better, a hot tub is a brilliant talking point and can loosen up the conversation because no one wants awkward silence at the dinner table.

2)  Treat yourself

Nothing says luxury like a hot tub. For the ultimate pampering experience, you can’t go wrong with a long soak in the tub.

If you want to mark the end of the year in style, why not treat yourself and your guests to a serious dose of rest and relaxation? Once you sink into the tub, you’ll feel the stresses of the hectic holiday season melt away.

3) Enjoy vacation vibes in your backyard

Craving a winter getaway? A hot tub is a brilliant way to get that vacation feel from the comfort of your home.

With a hot tub, you can escape into your backyard oasis, giving you the downtime you deserve. You can even go all in and throw a tropical-themed party.

4) Make the most of your outdoor space

Fancy a change of scene? In the winter, you may spend lots of time cooped up inside. A hot tub gives you a great incentive to get outdoors even when it’s dark and chilly.

By taking the party outside, you can make the most of your outdoor space. You’ll also have the novelty of a change of view, whether that’s your garden or the starry night sky.

5) Create an ambiance

Whether you prefer super-chilled vibes or you want to go all-out, a hot tub can get you in the mood.

For a relaxed gathering, look for models with waterfall modes so you can unwind while listening to the sound of running water.

Want to pump up the volume? You'll find hot tubs with everything you need to get the party started, including LED lights, speakers, and beverage coolers.

6) Add a feel-good factor

We bet you don’t attend many parties where you feel better afterward.

A hot tub can be a game-changer, as it boasts a surprising number of health perks. Soaking in a tub can boost relaxation, and it’s the perfect remedy for soothing aches and pains. It can even help lower blood pressure.

7) Recover in style

The day after the party can be a downer - except if you can retreat to your hot tub.

You’ll appreciate a post-celebration pick-me-up to recharge after the festivities are over.

How to stay safe with your hot tub

“The great thing about hot tubs is that you can use them all year long, even during snowfall or rain,” says Bernard J. Fisher, Director of Health & Safety at the American Lifeguard Association. Enjoy your hot tub party safely with these top tips.

A hot tub is for all seasons, with one exception. Bernard advises going indoors at the first sign of a thunderstorm. Be mindful of how long you spend in the tub. “If you prefer to soak at the maximum recommended setting of 104°F, your stay should be no more than 15 minutes at a time.”

Set expectations with your guests in advance to help everyone stay safe. “Shower before entering the hot tub, and don’t enter if you feel ill or have a fever,” recommends Bernard. It may sound obvious, but don’t swallow the hot tub water (you’ll regret it). Water and alcohol don’t mix well, so be mindful and stay safe to avoid accidents.

If you have little ones around, it’s wise to take extra precautions. “Always secure the cover properly after use to prevent a child from falling into the hot tub,” says Bernard. “Don’t let children under five use hot tubs,” he adds. If you’re pregnant or take medication, you should consult your doctor before using a hot tub.
