Between now and the second week in October Amazon's Prime Big Deals Day land, you'll have plenty of time to hone in on the air fryer that you want, and to sign up to Prime membership in preparation for Amazon Prime Day deals. The deals will only be available to Prime members, so make sure you're one of them otherwise be prepared to wait (a little) longer for the next best Black Friday deal on an air fryer.

Air fryers are a great way to cook a variety of foods. They'll cook in (often) less time than an oven which will, therefore, save you money on the energy bill, and the foods require minimum to no oil, making them a healthier option at meal times.

Amazon Prime Day air fryer deals: FAQs

When is Amazon Prime Day?

This year's Amazon Prime Day event, labelled Prime Big Deals Days, will run on October 10 - 11, 2023.

And as it's just ahead of the holiday season, now might be the perfect time to get ahead of your Christmas shopping and get your hands on some discounted goods.

What is Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is a mega two-day event full of epic deals on Amazon own brands, and other favorite brands including Dyson, Ninja and Shark.

It's exclusively for people with Prime membership, so you won't see the deals unless you're signed up.

How do I become an Amazon Prime member?

In order to get access to Prime Day deals you'll need to be an Amazon Prime member. This costs $14.99 per month or £139 for the year.

However, if you haven't subscribed to become a member before you can take advantage of the 30-day Amazon Prime free trial to buy the deals. You won't be eligible for this if you've used it in past Prime Day sales or if you've signed up to the subscription service before.

Whilst on the free trial you can get all the other membership benefits including free, next day shipping, access to Prime Video and so much more. You can cancel for free any time during the trial whilst you're in the 30-day window, so it's worth considering for sale events such as this.

How does Prime Day work?

Assuming you've signed up for Amazon Prime and you've logged into your account, you'll see discounts across the whole site. In previous years, Amazon Prime discounts have been clearly marked across the site's 12 million+ products, so you know that you're getting the deal because you're a Prime Member.

There are always deals that run throughout the whole of Prime Day, which you can access at any time. Then there are daily Amazon Prime Day deals, which run for 24 hours, or until stock is depleted. And finally, there are Lightning Deals, which appear every few minutes, and run until all the stock of a particular item has been bought up. Sometimes Lightning Deals run for hours, sometimes minutes. Depends what the product is.

Once you've checked out with all your stuff, that expedited Prime delivery will see the products in your home within a few days. It used to be overnight in most areas, but since the explosion in at-home shopping during 2020, deliveries – while still free – can take a little longer.

What makes a good air fryer deal?

The air fryer market has become really saturated in the last few years, and with that, the price range has become really broad. Some of the cheapest air fryers on Amazon are just $40 and then you will find models with multiple functions that cost over $200. With that, it is easy to see a low ticket price and get lured in to a bad deal. So, we have a few tips to make sure you invest well.

Start by filtering down to four stars or more if you search directly on a retailer. Also look for trusted brands like Instant, Dreo, Cuisinart and Ninja, that have a good reputation in the market.

Don't forget to check our reviews when you find one you like. And if it seems more expensive than the others, check out what other functions it has that could be pushing the price up. Don't forget that air fryers come in a range of sizes, so if you want to save some money, don't overspend on a huge 10-quart model unless you see yourself using it for lots of family meals or large joints of meat. If you want a small and simple air fryer to serve one to two, something like this two-quart Ninja at just $49.99 on Amazon, will do just fine.
