Performance Design

This home treadmill can accommodate users up to 375 pounds and has a 3.5-horsepower motor that handles high-impact exercise. The maximum speed is 12 mph, which is on the high end for running treadmills, and the running deck can incline 15 percent to create good resistance for a more challenging workout.

The running deck is 22 inches wide and 60 inches long, which is great for users who are tall or have a longer stride. The cushioned deck does an excellent job of absorbing the joint impacts associated with running.

Workout & Monitoring Features

The speed and incline controls are simple to use and give you a variety of one-touch options. This is especially convenient if you want to vary your workout between sprinting, running and walking. In addition to the hand sensors for monitoring your heart rate, you can purchase an optional chest strap that wirelessly transmits your heart rate to the treadmill.

There are only 10 workout programs on this treadmill, which is few compared to similar treadmills in our review. This treadmill also does not have multiple user IDs to track the fitness of several people over the long term, so it's not the best treadmill to share with family or roommates.

Built-In Accessories

While the Sole F80 is not the most advanced treadmill on our lineup, it comes with some useful extras. The LCD screen is easy to read and gives you your workout statistics as you run. With the audio port, you can connect a device to play music through the integrated speakers.

The console has two integrated fans to keep you cool as you exercise. This Sole treadmill easily folds up when not in use to save storage space as well. However, there are no touchscreen controls or interactive video workouts with this treadmill, which would add greatly to the convenience.

Warranties

This running treadmill has a lifetime warranty that covers the motor, frame and deck, as well as a five-year warranty on parts and electronics and a two-year warranty on in-home labor. There are exclusions and conditions for the treadmill warranty, so make sure you read your user manual carefully.

Help & Support

Sole has a variety of support options. Under the support menu on the company's website, you can find technical support and service telephone numbers, an email address, a FAQs section, and a PDF user manual. The company does not provide a live chat option.

Summary

The Sole F80 is a well-designed, inclining treadmill that offers many features and functions to help you achieve your health goals. The built-in speakers and cooling fans are nice extras to make running an enjoyable experience. The extra running space and high maximum weight capability give you some flexibility that not all treadmills offer.
