Most of what FotoFusion does, it does extremely well. The included templates seem a little outdated, and this is not the easiest digital scrapbooking software to learn, but the feature set is extensive. FotoFusion offers a variety of high-quality tools that make it exceptionally versatile scrapbook software with outstanding results.
FotoFusion provides multiple options for automated collage settings, including auto collage, sparse auto collage and auto jumble. All of these tools automatically build an instant collage using photos you've selected. This is an excellent option for quick photo projects, but if you want a little more input, you can resize, move or delete photos to improve the arrangement. You can use templates to save time, or start from scratch.
FotoFusion does not have our favorite built-in templates that preserve the look of a traditional scrapbook without the mess of glue and glitter, nor does it offer multimedia tools like the chance to import video or audio. It does come with per-character text attributes, as well as text shapes and effects, which allow you to blur, emboss or shade your text. You can also take advantage of Form Factors, tools that ensure your layouts match specifications.
You can share projects with others through email or publish them online. You can also save your scrapbook collages to your hard drive or disc, convert entire albums to a PDF file or print them.
The menu icons have mouse-over pop-ups that explain the function of the buttons. FotoFusion also hosts a user forum and FAQs page, and provides information via both telephone and email assistance. It provides comprehensive help and support while offering some interesting design tips in the process.
While it lacks the multimedia features of its top-rated competitors, FotoFusion still makes a strong argument for itself. You can easily get a traditional scrapbook look with this software, which might be just what you want. With a little more effort, you can also get a hip and modern feel for your projects using FotoFusion.
