You may be a little off put by the HeadBlade ATX’s design when you first look at it. We know we were. But believe us when we say that you’ll get over it fast. As soon as you test this hair clipper out, you’ll be sold. The hair shaver mimics the design of an all terrain vehicle, and HeadBlade comically describes this hair shaver as an “all terrain razor.” The curved body of the head shaver ends with two wheels on the front and a blade on the back, resembling an ATV.

Multiple blades on the razor allow it to form to your head and a handy grip on the top of device allows you to follow a smooth path from forehead to neck. The blade’s grip is designed for your forefinger, middle finger and pinkie finger to slide into comfortably. The circular grip can even be adjusted to fit your hand. From there, you’re only minutes away from a perfectly bald head. If you’ve never shaved your head before or if you have sensitive skin, shave with grain of your hair. Don’t apply any pressure to the blade; let the wheels do the heavy lifting.

HeadBlade claims that one of the main reasons for making the ATX so user friendly is to make sure new users would have little if any learning curve. HeadBlade wants to make the step from thinning hair to completely bald an easy one. And it truly has. Don’t believe us? HeadBlade’s handy work can be seen on the likes of Howie Mandell and Tony Freeman, and the shaver was recently featured in Men's Fitness magazine as a “grooming breakthrough.”

The HeadBlade is different from competing electric hair clippers because it is a standard razor, packaged in an extremely user-friendly manner. It doesn’t come with extra blade covers or other accessories because it doesn’t need any of those things. This bald head shaver does exactly what it should, shave heads. The HeadBlade is also extremely versatile, effectively shaving other parts of your body like your face, body and legs. To shave anything other than your head, you’ll have to adjust the HeadBlade’s razor blade to face the opposite direction.

HeadBlade is definitely on our list for Father’s Day, Christmas or any other holiday where a manly gift is required. Not only with the man in your life appreciate the close shave, he’ll appreciate getting something other than a tie.
