Our Verdict

This is solid monitoring software you can use to ensure that internet activity remains within your set bounds. It does not block the use of other applications on your monitored computers, however.

eBlaster monitoring software can handle most internet and computer tracking needs. It has a quiver full of quality computer monitoring tools to keep tabs on the websites visited and applications used on monitored computers.

Operating this software is simple. You can access everything through one control panel, and it works smoothly and intuitively. It can operate in stealth mode or visible mode, depending on your needs and intent.

It can tell you the amount of time users spend on monitored computers, the names and types of files transferred, and documents that are saved or printed. It tracks applications used, including the time they were launched and the length of time they were in use.

You can view all online activities with eBlaster. It creates a log of accessed websites. Logged information includes the time and date, and the frequency and duration of each site visit.

This computer monitoring software monitors and records sent and received emails. It records chats and instant messaging to include both sides of conversations.

Through the control panel, you can issue remote commands that shutdown, restart or even freeze a monitored computer. eBlaster records all keystrokes, which can include personal information such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers and more. In addition, this software tracks all user-launched applications and has document-tracking features. The software logs all created, opened, modified and deleted files.

eBlaster does not offer real-time monitoring or scheduled monitoring, and it lacks the ability to schedule screenshots.

This monitoring software lets you block websites to prevent your children or others from viewing pornography or questionable online materials. However, you cannot block access to computer applications or schedule times to block access to the internet.

eBlaster delivers reports via email at regular intervals, as often as you like. Reports include a list of websites visited, applications run, keystrokes typed and user activities such as logging on and off. It sends email alerts when an inappropriate word or phrase is typed. You preset the alert words.

eBlaster lacks a local reporting feature, which lets you view reports directly on monitored computers. It also lacks video-style playback of screenshots.

eBlaster offers many powerful tools to monitor internet and computer use in your home. It can help prevent your children or others from viewing undesirable or questionable websites. However, it lacks the ability to block computer programs, and you cannot schedule screenshots or monitoring times. These features may not be necessary if your needs are strictly to monitor, log, record and block certain websites, however.
