The Block Rocker Plus looks good all in black and, despite not being that light, does come with wheels to help make this as portable as possible. Since the battery is rechargeable that's also a big appeal, saving you on replacement battery costs down the line.

With plenty of connection options and audio from radio too, this is a versatile option which focuses on decent sound quality while keeping the price low. We think this is one of the best karaoke machines on the market.

ION Audio Block Rocker Plus review: Design and build

The ION Audio Block Rocker Plus isn't light at just over 20 pounds and certainly isn't small at 9.8 x 14.5 x 17.3 inches in size. But all that size means a large rechargeable battery that can dish out a good 35 hours of use before needing a plug in. It also means some serious power.

This karaoke system comes packing a powerful 100 watt dynamic amplifier which runs an 8-inch two-way speaker and 3-inch tweeter.

But all that is also portable thanks to a built in set of wheels and a telescopic carry handle. This means you don't even need to bend over to roll this along. Think travel luggage style maneuverability.

The totally black finish is really high-end while also remaining rugged for outdoor use. There are two large knobs and easy to use buttons for controls which surround a display for data readouts. Don't expect song lyrics on this basic screen though.

Singing Machine Fiesta Plus review: Features and performance

The ION Audio Block Rocker Plus comes with a whole host of helpful connections. Not only do you get a wires 1/8", 3.5mm audio port to plug music playing devices in, but it also has both Bluetooth and NFC. There is also a USB port to keep a phone charged while in use.

This means you can tap a phone to this karaoke machine and have it paired up near instantly to play the music from that device. A great feature if you want to get access to everyone's music at a party. Failing that you also have both FM and AM radio onboard with over 15 presets.

Sound quality is impressive with that 100 W of power churning out a balanced sound with plenty of bass punch to make it feel like a real party. The included cabled microphone offers clear voice reproduction and is easy to use.

Should you buy the ION Audio Block Rocker Plus?

The ION Audio Block Rocker Plus is a great karaoke machine for anyone that wants to use their system anywhere. The decent battery life, rechargeable nature of this unit, wireless Bluetooth connectivity and quality sound all make for an end product that is relatively affordable for what you get.

However, if you want something with a built-in display then you may want to look at something different.
