The TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine is a simple to use and highly portable unit that comes with dual microphones as standard.

It might not feature all the party tricks of some models, like flashing lights, but this no nonsense model does the job it was made to do well. The fact it does so with wireless microphones and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity is a nice bonus too.

The TONOR PA System is mains powered and doesn't feature an aux port but the price is low and the sound quality is impressive for the size.

TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine review: Design and build

The TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine is tiny with a 6.5-inch coaxial speaker running the show. This churns out 50W of power which isn't a great deal but it does offer enough audio punch to fill smaller rooms. Think of it like a Bluetooth music speaker in terms of volume and reach.

Dial controls are positioned down the side of the unit which allow for individual adjustments to volumes of the speaker and each microphone.

The TONOR PA System unit is portable but will require you to plug into mains power to operate as there is no battery built into the speaker system itself, which means you can easily move it between rooms and even houses, but it can't be used on a camping trip or anything like that (unless you have a portable generator).

Both of the wireless microphones have rechargeable batteries and use UHF radio frequencies to connect directly to the main speaker unit. That means there is no need to pair them up, they just work immediately. It also means an impressive range of up to 60 meters for both of the microphones.

Music input connectivity wise, you have Bluetooth, a USB port for flash drive and RCA for a headphone port connector - the cable for this is not included.

TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine review: Features and performance

The TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine features two rechargeable wireless microphones. These are good for up to 18 hours of use before they need a charge. Then a quick two or three hours of charge, via a USB port, will have you belting out songs once more.

The UHF radio pairing to the system is very helpful as it means the mic can be turned on and used immediately with no pairing needed. The downside here is that the mic is uniquely coded to that speaker, so should it go wrong, the whole system needs to be replaced, not just the mic.

Both mics can be used at the same time to sing over audio tracks, or used independently as a stand alone PA system .

The TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine uses Bluetooth as its main way of connecting to devices like a smartphone or tablet, to supply music. There are also physical ports like the USB port, for plugging in a thumb drive of music, for example. The headphone jack lets you plug in directly, if you have the right cable but there isn't an aux port so you can output to a larger, more powerful speaker.

At 50W of power, you may want more if you plan to use this anywhere other than a small room. That said the audio is decent and there are clever anti-distortion smarts at work to ensure sound is well balanced and error free.

Should you buy the TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine?

The TONOR PA System Karaoke Machine is a simple solution for anyone that wants an easy to use karaoke experience with audio only and no extras like light shows. Sound is clear and the wireless microphones and Bluetooth connectivity make it simple to get going.

The lack of power, or aux output option, combined with no battery in the main unit, which means you need to plug in, are factors which inhibit wider use of this system. But for the price it does a very good job.
