Kelsey Wasilewski is a freelance travel writer and hospitality professional based in New Jersey. She started her career as an event manager, planning and traveling to events across the United States, before spending several years on the sales and marketing team of a luxury lifestyle hotel in New York City, where she learned the ins and outs of the travel industry first-hand. Now she writes for a number of online media outlets, as well as tourism boards and hotels.
Her passion started for travel early in life, when her mother's job at British Airways allowed her to travel frequently on standby, opening up a world of possibilities. A high school exchange program to Japan only solidified her wanderlust, and since then she has traveled to over 20 countries and counting.
