The Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier extracts up to 50 pints of moisture from the air within your home. Suitable for spaces up to 4,500 square feet, the Keystone model is well designed and has three fan speeds.

This dehumidifier is easy to move around, thanks to its sturdy casters. It’s also pretty quiet so, despite its size, it won’t bother you while it gets to work taking excess moisture out of your home.

Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier: Features

The Keystone dehumidifier is designed to remove up to 50 pints of moisture each day. It can be used to dehumidify a huge 4,500 square feet - one of the largest capabilities out of all the models we’ve reviewed. This does mean the unit itself is quite large and also weighs 16 lbs, but fitted rolling casters make this unit easy to move around your home if need be.

This model doesn’t come with a pump, but it does have other handy features such as electronic controls, complete with an LED display. The Keystone KSTAD504D also has a 24-hour timer, full bucket alert, and auto shut-off.

There’s a transparent water level indicator so that you can easily keep an eye on how full the tank is. If you want to continuously drain your dehumidifier, that is also an option. You will be able to drain the machine by using a low level drain and a garden hose, but a hose isn’t included in the price so you’ll need to buy one separately.

This dehumidifier features three different functions: normal, turbo, and auto defrost. It also has a helpful function that tells you when you need to clean the filter, helping you to stay on top of maintaining your dehumidifier.

Another way to stay on top of the cleanliness of the Keystone KSTAD504D is the removable dust filter, which you can easily take out and maintain.

What we particularly liked about the Keystone KSTAD504D is that it is Energy Star certified, meaning it won’t cost you (or the environment) too much to run. If ever this is a power cut, this unit will auto restart and remember all of the settings you previously had on it - meaning you don’t need to worry about re-programming it before it can start back up again.

Designed to extract the moisture from your rooms, the Keystone KSTAD504D can be used to help damp washing dry faster inside if it’s too wet to dry your clothes outside and you don’t have a dryer.

In terms of style, the Keystone KSTAD504D features large vents on the front which show it is very obviously an air quality unit. Some other models feature more subtle designs that may be disguised more easily if you’re not keen on the unit being a big feature in your home.

Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier: Warranty

This dehumidifier comes with a one-year parts and labor warranty, along with an additional four years parts for sealed system warranty.

 Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier: User reviews

User reviews for the Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier are wholly positive. Many reviews mention how effective the unit is at clearing the moisture in their air. There are also plenty of positive comments that praise this machine for how easy it is to use, as well as how quiet is it. More negative comments include the lack of drainage pipe and that this machine doesn’t have a pump.

Should you buy the Keystone KSTAD504D dehumidifier?

If you need a dehumidifier that can tackle moisture in large areas, then this model is for you. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and easy to move around. If it’s just a small room you need a dehumidifier for, then consider a smaller unit.
