The Smart Planet MDM-1W electric donut maker is small and on the standard end of donut machines. You don't get any fancy features with this unit, but it does let you cook a batch of donuts easily in just a few minutes. Additionally, it has a handful of convenience features that make it easy to use and store.

You can make up to six mini donuts at once with this donut maker, which is one shy of the standard, but it only takes you four minutes with each batch, which is up to the standard for a donut machine.

The cooking plates on this unit have nonstick coating, which is convenient for a couple reasons. First, it makes the unit very easy to clean after each use. Second, after the batch of donuts is done cooking, the nonstick coating lets you easily slide each donut out of the plate without any mess or baked-on batter.

This donut maker comes with a recipe book, and you can conveniently use store-bought donut mix with it. It only weighs 4 pounds and is on the standard end of size. It measures 4.6 inches in height, 10.4 inches in length and 10.2 inches in width. The small size makes it easy to store when not in use, and you can even just leave it on the countertop, since it doesn't take up much space.

This donut-making machine doesn't include the standard safety features, but it does include an indicator light on the top of the unit. This indicator light alerts you that the unit is on and hot. The lid has a handle clip, which makes it easy to open and close the unit without touching the hot parts.

The operating voltage of this electric donut maker is 110 to 120 volts and 60Hz. The wattage on this small appliance is 650 to 760, which is standard for a donut maker.

The Smart Planet MDM-1W electric donut maker is a good option for a standard donut maker that is easy to use. However, this donut-making machine does lack some standard safety features.
