Pipl isn’t much of a people search site at all. It’s actually more of a search engine geared specifically towards people. Doing a search in Pipl will bring up results from several major white pages and people search resources. You don’t actually buy people search reports from Pipl, you are simply redirected to other sites where you can purchase the reports. For this reason, we’d recommend saving some time and going directly to the highest ranked people search services in this review. Some of the best are PeopleFinders, Intelius and USA People Search.
A search engine for personal information, like Pipl, might make a great resource if you want to find out all kinds of interesting things about a person once you’ve got the basic information on them (address, phone number, etc.), but when you’re looking for a person with only a name to go by, Pipl is far too broad and random of a search to do much good. If you're searching for a living person’s contact information, you don’t need immigration records from Ellis Island.
Many of the other sites that Pipl indexes are the same sites that ranked high in this review of people search sites. In most cases where you don’t have much info about a person, you will probably be better off skipping the middleman and going directly to one of the top sites in this review. We’d recommend PeopleFinders, Intelius or USA People Search as a good starting place.
