Video/Image Quality

This camera captures video in 1080p, commonly called full HD. Although 4K resolution is the new standard for high-resolution video, 1080p is the most commonly used form of high definition, and it provides a sharp, crisp picture.

It can capture video at a frame rate of up to 60 fps. This means the camera can capture a high level of detail when you're filming quick movements. Additionally, if you're familiar with video-editing software, the high frame rate allows you to slow the video down and replay it in slow motion.

This pocket camcorder has a flash, which allows you to film in low-light conditions. It can take 9-megapixel still photos as well as videos.

This small video camera has a 2.4-inch screen that you use for framing the shot, which is one of the larger screens we saw on any of the pocket camcorders we reviewed. The button system on the front of the camera makes navigating the menus straightforward and intuitive.

The rectangular device is about 4 inches tall, 2 inches wide and less than 1 inch deep. It's one of the smallest camcorders we reviewed, which makes it ideal for unobtrusive transportation in a pocket or a purse.

One of the best features of this pocket camera is its rechargeable battery. This means you won't have to purchase replacement batteries, like you would with some of the other cameras we reviewed.

Unlike some pocket camcorders we reviewed, the DV900 is not waterproof, which does hamper its functionality. It also lacks a touchscreen, which is boasted by the best pocket camcorder on the market.

This camera stores captured images and video on an SD card. It also has a few megabytes of internal flash storage, but that's only enough for a single test picture.

You can transfer pictures and videos to your computer from the DV900 in two ways. You can either eject the SD card and insert it into a computer with an SD card slot or use an USB cable to transfer the media from the camera without ejecting the SD card. This pocket camcorder also has a HDMI port. This allows you to directly display media from the camera on your HDTV.

Help & Support

VistaQuest doesn't have particularly good customer service. It lacks a social media presence, and we found it difficult at times to get in touch with its customer service team. It does offer a one-year warranty on the DV900. This is the industry standard for a pocket camcorder warranty.

The VistaQuest DV900 is one of the best pocket camcorders because it is a solid performer on all fronts, combining good image quality with a solid design. VistaQuest's customer support team isn't particularly knowledgeable, but the DV900 is still an excellent value.
