The versatile TurboFloorPlan Home and Landscape Pro can help you design home remodel projects of any size. This interior design software includes helpful features like an automatic cost estimator and tools to make windows, doors, cabinets, fireplaces, stairs and curved walls.

This interior design software comes with 45 sample templates, which can save time if you need a solid starting point for a major project. In addition, you can import photos of your property or drag and drop furnished rooms into place and move the furnishings around until you are happy with the arrangement. There is also a QuickStart feature that allows you to choose rooms, adjust them to the sizes you want and arrange them into the configuration you want in your home. As you edit the design, the dimensions change automatically.

It can be tedious to plan the more practical details in your project. However, TurboFloorPlan Home and Landscape Pro has tools for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, lighting and electrical components to ensure the functional parts of your home are positioned correctly and work as they should before you decorate.

Before you start redecorating and remodeling, you can collect colors you know you want to use. Your palette is then organized onto a color board, so you can apply your favorite colors in different places throughout your design, including on floors, upholstery and wall coverings.

This interior design software has a decent selection of furniture to choose from – though a few competitors, including our top pick Virtual Architect Ultimate, have even more. You can drag and drop new couches, chairs, tables and more into place in your virtual room. However, we had one difficulty when we dropped objects into our design, namely that objects sometimes appeared float in the 3D mode. In this version, TurboFloorPlan Home and Landscape Pro, it is possible to delete and replace objects to remedy the floating situation. However, the issue is more pronounced in the program’s Deluxe version.

You can also pick lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, sinks and other permanent pieces. Further, you can create curved and traditional staircases with just a few clicks.

In addition to its interior design tools, this software has a selection of features to create decks, patios, flower beds, gardens, hedges and other landscaping elements. Armed with these tools, you can make your yard an extension of your home.

This otherwise great interior design software is lacking in customer support options. There are more than 100 video tutorials, which are a huge help, as well as phone support and community forums. However, the website doesn’t have a FAQs section or live chat, both of which are extremely helpful for finding quick answers.
