Ease of Use
The design and navigation for Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0 are well organized. The program is simple for beginners to learn and master. The features are not complex as the top ranked Landscaping Software can be, but it may take some trial and error to learn a few of the processes.
The most valuable feature we felt Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0 offered was the simple home builder tool; you can create a rough, 3–D home outline to landscape around in minutes, not hours. You can’t design a home from scratch in Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0, nor do you have to import a digital photo of your home. For landscaping software, we felt this was appropriate.
The plant images you choose from when designing aren’t photographs, so unless you’re good with tree names, you'll either have to paste it on your lot then go to the 3D view to see what it actually looks like or go to the plant search section and view the plant. You can also import digital images to use in your landscape design.
We had no problems installing the three discs in Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0.

We felt Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0 was on the right track, because the program allows you to work around a 3–D image of your home without having to design one.
The graphics in Total 3D Landscape Deluxe 8.0 are sub par, so those serious about precision landscape design will be disappointed even though the feature set is large. The top-ranked products are much more advanced and realistic.
