Pros / This water filter system offers three style options for a kitchen faucet.

Cons / This Pelican water filter does not provide any notification that tells you when to replace the system’s filters.

Verdict / The Pelican 6-Stage RO System can produce cleaner water than most, but you must be diligent with maintenance and upkeep to reap the full benefits of this system.

The Pelican Pro 6-Stage RO system removes more than 50 contaminants from your drinking water. This under-the-counter water filter system features six stages for filtering and cleaning your water. It requires yearly maintenance, but it is compact and doesn’t take up a large amount of space underneath your sink. Additionally, this system includes a faucet, and three style options are available to ensure you get the look you desire.

This drinking water filter system can remove roughly 50 different contaminants from your water, giving you much cleaner drinking water that is also odorless and better-tasting than unfiltered water. The system can reduce numerous contaminants, including arsenic, fluoride, lead and cysts. However, it does not have the ability to reduce or remove bacteria from your drinking water.

There are six stages this tap water system uses to reduce unwanted contaminants. Each stage removes different impurities from your water, such as heavy metals and a variety of chemicals. The six stages do a good job filtering the water, but some filter systems, like the EcoWater ERO 375, complete the process just as well in three or four stages.

The Pelican Pro 6-Stage RO System provides many of the basic features and capabilities that you will find in similar systems. The water pressure range for this system is 40 to 80 psi, which is ideal. Water pressure that is too strong can cause damage to your home's water system. It also has a temperature range of 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, which is average for these types of filters.

Another benefit of this water filter system is its compact design. This system is only 12 inches wide, 4.75 inches deep and 14.5 inches long. It weighs approximately 8 pounds. It is easy to install, and the system includes all necessary parts. Furthermore, when the filters need to be replaced, they can be removed without using any tools.

It is disappointing that this system doesn’t offer any notifications to tell you when the filters need to be replaced. The 2-Stage post filter needs to be replaced every six months and the 4-stage membrane requires replacement every 18 months. With this system, you will need to be diligent in maintaining the system, as poor maintenance can cause more harm to your drinking water.

There is a one-year warranty on this tap water filter system. It is an average warranty, but a longer one would be ideal. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this filtration system, you can contact a representative via email, telephone and live chat.

Few water filtration systems provide the advanced capabilities featured on the Pelican Pro 6-Stage RO System. This filtration solution is compact and can reduce up to 50 contaminants from your drinking water. However, it doesn't remove any bacteria, and there are no notifications to tell you when to replace the filters. However, for an under-the-counter water filter system, the Pelican Pro 6-Stage RO System has the features and the capabilities to give you better drinking water.
