The Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room tower fan offers a lot of versatility at a midrange price. It has eight settings, which is the second most of any of the best tower fans we tested. Its settings are clearly marked on the control panel, if somewhat vague in meaning. The two extreme settings – sleep and power cool – make sense, but other settings in between, like relax, calm, white noise and whisper, could essentially mean the same thing. With so many settings, you’ll never have a problem finding the right amount of airflow for your needs at any given moment.

Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room tower fan: Features

This is one of the quieter fans we tested. Even at the highest power setting, the decibel reading for this fan was 63 right next to the fan, just a couple decibels louder than the quietest fan.

Despite all the controls, this was not one of the more powerful fans we tested. At the highest setting, the airflow was fairly substantial up to about 10 feet, with modest airflow to 15 feet, but it drops off dramatically after that. This fan should provide good circulation for a small or average-size room, however. The timer can be set to turn the fan off anytime between one and eight hours. The simple remote works well from across the room and stores nicely in a slot in the back of the unit.

This fan has a bright control panel, but fortunately you can dim it for nighttime use if you’re using it in a bedroom. You can dim it to 25 percent or turn the light off altogether. This is a nice feature not all the fans with digital screens have. The Artic Pro is another nice fan with an easy-to-read digital display that includes a temperature reading.

Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room tower fan: Warranty

Like most fans we reviewed, the Honeywell QuietSet comes with a one-year warranty. You can contact support via a toll-free number or email. Honeywell also has helpful videos and other information on its website. The support page includes FAQs for specific products, but unfortunately there is not a FAQs section for tower fans.

Should you buy the Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room tower fan?

The Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room tower fan is a versatile fan with plenty of settings to vary the flow of air and the amount of noise it makes. Its eight settings provide nice, variability but the names for the settings are a bit vague. While this fan is not as powerful as some of the others we tested, it is a good choice for a small to midsize room, which includes most bedrooms. It is also a good bedroom fan since you can dim or turn off the digital display light.
