Pros / The flexible hose and multiple attachments allow you to clean virtually anywhere in your car.
Cons / This is one of the largest and heaviest vacuums we tested.
Verdict / The Carrand auto vac has several onboard accessories to clean a variety of messes in tight spots. This car vacuum is best if you have plenty of wall outlets or an extension cord to extend its reach.
The Carrand auto vac is powerful and has plenty of accessories for different cleaning jobs. The vacuum is built into a caddy that holds two brushes, one flat nozzle and a narrow nozzle for crumbs. All the accessories included in the caddy attach to the hose nozzle.
The hose design has several advantages over the classic tapered look of many car vacuum cleaners. This was evident in our maneuverability test. The Carrand vac scored full points on this test and was able to catch full-sized pieces of cereal in areas of the car unreachable by other car vacs.
The narrow nozzle picked up crumbs in tight, shallow spaces like between the seat cushion and back. We used the nozzle without any attachments to suck up the whole pieces of cereal in our testing. The Carrand was able to reach under the seat to suck up all the cereal we placed there.
While it is easy to maneuver, the Carrand lost points for poor suction and cleaning results on some tests. This vacuum can suck up crumbs and other materials easily, but you might have to be thorough with your work. It took several passes over the test dog hair to suck it up completely. This is also the heaviest unit of the ones we tested, which makes it a little less portable.
To power the Carrand auto vac, we recommend having an extension cord handy. Depending on the size of your car and the location of outlets nearby, the 12.5-foot cord may not be enough to reach everywhere you want to clean, even with its 40-inch hose.
The warranty on this model lasts for a year if you need repairs or a replacement. If you have questions about this vac, support is limited to the website or phone support. There isn't a frequently asked questions page available for this car vacuum, but you can email the manufacturer directly if you have questions.

The Carrand auto vac uses a hose and multiple attachments that allow you to pick up a variety of messes in hard-to-reach places. We were able to suck up full pieces of cereal from under and between the seats in our test car. The hose attachment isn't enough to suck up everything it encounters, though. Also, the Carrand vac's cord is short and may need an extension cord to clean larger vehicles.
