Whirlpool WFG320M0BS: What you need to know

Equipped with a large under-oven broiler, the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS’s Custom Broil allows you to set the right broiling temperature in five-degrees increments. It doesn’t come with any storage for your trays or pans. However, its full-width, drop-down door and large window with interior lights are a bonus. In addition, it comes in several colors including, black, stainless steel, and white.

Whirlpool WFG320M0BS: Features

Considering it has fewer features than models such as the Samsung NX58R9421SG, the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS gas range does have some useful features. Its headline feature is of course the under-oven broiler, which is perfect to broil an entire rack of your culinary delights. And its wide, full-length, drop-down door ensures easy access.

For a single oven range, it has adequate capacity for your essential cookware and large dishes. The Whirlpool WFG320M0BS heats up in no time, evenly bakes, and the quick-heating burners are great for rapid boiling, frying and searing your dishes. While it doesn’t come with any preset options, the electronic control panel is simple to use, with the handy control lock.

The Whirlpool WFG320M0BS doesn't come with a third rack, however, the two racks can be adjusted into five different positions to allow for more space. Another convenient feature is the large window that gives you a clear view of the oven interior. This also means you can monitor the progress of your cakes without opening the door and spoiling them!

The only disappointment would be the lack of a storage drawer, that often comes with modern gas ranges. And it could benefit from a self-clean option.  However, for an affordable price, the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS has all the adequate features to tackle your basic cooking needs.

Whirlpool WFG320M0BS: User reviews

User reviews rated the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS mainly for its impressive cooking performance and affordability. The majority mentioned that it evenly cooks food and boils water much faster than conventional ovens. Other users praised the professional, continuous grates over the surface burners, as they could slide any size pan across them with ease.

Other features mentioned were the big oven window, and the fact that the range is easy to operate.

Drawbacks noted include control panel errors, and the iron grates being difficult to clean. One user would have preferred four separate grates rather than two, to make this much easier.  A couple of users also mentioned the outside of the range gets very hot whilst on. So it may be worthwhile to always wear an oven glove when touching the door handle and consider whether this is suitable if you have young children.

Should you buy the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS?

If you’re looking for convenience over cost, the Whirlpool WFG320M0BS is a great cheap gas range. Despite the fact that it doesn’t have a double oven, this still gives you plenty of power and ample space to cook those delicious meals.

We were impressed by its consistent baking results and under-oven broiling capabilities. It also has handy features such as the continuous, cooktop grates, control lock, and large oven window with interior light to see all your cooking in progress.

If you can overlook the lack of storage or a self-clean option, this basic gas range gets the job done. For large families or households who require more advanced features, this probably won't be ideal. For a gas range that does have self-cleaning functions, check out our GE JGSS86SPSS review. However, we chose this model for its decent performance and efficiency all for a bargain price.
