The Lasko 2551 Wind Curve is suitable for circulating air in small rooms. It is a nice-looking fan with silver paneling, and although it’s not one of the more powerful fans we reviewed, the Wind Curve is an affordable, effective device. However, it didn't win a spot in our roundup of the best tower fans.

Lasko Wind Curve 2551 tower fan: Features

This tower fan oscillates up to 90 degrees, which is a good range for covering a whole room. In addition, you get its ionizer that can help reduce the allergens in the air. It also is equipped with three variable speeds and a timer to help you keep the power bill down. The timer is flexible, allowing you to set it from 30 minutes to 7.5 hours. If you tend to get cold in the middle of the night, this is a nice feature that saves you the trouble of waking up to turn off the fan. One problem with this fan is it can be difficult to clean the fan blades. You’ll have to take it apart to do that.

At 42.5 inches high, it is the tallest fan in our lineup. The machine is constructed from lightweight plastic and has a built-in handle to make moving it easier. This fan weighs around 13 pounds, which is slightly heavier than the other fans in our lineup, but that also makes it a little sturdier than it would be otherwise. It’s still quite lightweight for its size. The remote control can be stored beneath the handle at the rear of the fan, helping you keep track of it.

The Wind Curve can move 425 cfm (cubic feet per minute) on its lowest setting and up to 634 cfm on high. It wasn’t the most powerful fan in our lineup, but it performed decently well in our tests. It circulated air fairly well up to about 13 feet but dropped off quite a bit beyond that. This is one of the quietest fans in our lineup. It’s a good unit for a small office or a small or medium-sized bedroom.

Lasko Wind Curve 2551 tower fan: Warranty

With this Lasko Wind Curve, you receive an industry-standard one-year limited warranty. If a generous warranty is important to you, the Vornado Tower 184 has the best in our lineup at five years. If you need support, Lasko has phone and email support available. If you have a question, you can check out the FAQs page. Lasko has links to a downloadable owner's manual on each product page as well.

Should you buy the Lasko Wind Curve 2551 tower fan?

The Lasko 2551 Wind Curve is a good fan that offers cool, gentle breezes for smaller offices and rooms. This fan fits nicely in the corner of most any room. If you are looking for an affordable tower fan that looks good and will effectively cool a midsize room, the Lasko 2551 Wind Curve is a good choice, but it’s not the most powerful fan we tested.
