Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier: What is it?
Whilst only available second hand now, the Levoit LV600HH is a near-silent humidifier that comes with a range of features you won’t find in the vast majority of humidifiers, such as an auto mode and automatic shut off, which helps to justify the higher than average price tag. It’s a powerful humidifier and the large tank means it is a great pick if you’re looking for a humidifier to use in a large room.

Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier review: Price
With an RRP of $89.99, the Levoit LV600HH is on the expensive side, but that’s certainly not outrageous for what is a premium humidifier. Cheaper models tend to come without the auto mode and with smaller tank sizes, which means the room coverage is lower and the tank will need refilling more often. Deals for this model are hard to come by so you’ll be lucky to find this model at a price much below the RRP.

The Levoit LV600HH is a great humidifier for anyone looking for high-end performance with all the bells and whistles included.
A built-in humidistat means the LV600HH can monitor a room’s humidity levels and, when in auto mode, adjust its output to make sure you have neither dry nor overly humidified air. The included remote control means that if you don’t want to just leave the device to do the work you can still adjust the settings from anywhere in the room.
The 1.6-gallon tank is larger than those of most humidifiers on the market. It allows the LV600HH to not only humidify large rooms but to run continuously for up to 36 hours without needing to be refilled.
Usually, you would need to choose between cool and warm mist when buying a humidifier, but the LV600HH offers both. Cool mist is a good option for anyone who struggles with dry skin or sinuses, while the warm mist setting humidifies a room quicker and helps to kill bacteria in the water. Having both options means you can switch between the two depending on your needs.
This humidifier is almost silent and combined with the option to switch off the LED screen, it makes a good bedroom humidifier as it won’t disturb your sleep.
Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier review: Performance
- One of the most powerful humidifiers tested
- Accurate humidistat
TechGearLab found the LV600HH to be one of the most powerful humidifiers they tested, and easy to clean too. They were particularly impressed with the accuracy of its humidistat when compared to their own, which means you can leave it running without worrying that it will over-humidify a room to the point of condensation. Other humidifiers they tested that were marginally more accurate, came at a much higher price point and they didn’t feel that this marginal improvement was worth the extra cost.
Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier review: User reviews
- Users comment how quiet it is
- Found it helped them sleep better
- Few reviews mention that mist doesn't always stay airborne
Online user reviews tend to give this Levoit humidifier an average rating of 4 out of 5. They comment on how quiet it is when running, as well as its powerful performance. A number mention that it is one of a few humidifiers they had tried and was their favourite. A few users also commented on how the humidifier helped them sleep better at night.
A few reviews mention that on higher settings the mist does not always stay airborne and can make the surrounding floor a little damp.
Overall, most users were impressed with the humidifier’s power and silent operation.
Should you buy the Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier?
The Levoit LV600HH is a great choice thanks to its auto mode, accurate humidistat and auto shut off, as well as its powerful performance. The large tank means it’s a great option for anyone needing a humidifier that can handle a large room, while its almost silent operation means it’s also suitable as a bedroom humidifier. The choice of cool or warm mist means it’s a versatile humidifier, allowing the output to be altered depending on user needs.
Another feature-packed humidifier is the Dyson AM10. It has an ultraviolet light designed to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the water before it is released into the room. It also comes with a fan for cool air during the warmer months. These features do mean the AM10 has a much higher price tag than most humidifiers.
This is a humidifier with fewer features but great performance, the Honeywell HCM-350 is a great value-for-money option. The lower price point does mean it comes without a humidistat and, therefore, an auto mode. It’s a cool-mist humidifier than can treat large rooms, up to 500 square foot in size.
Easy-to-clean and complete with a self-regulating humidistat, the PureGuardian H1250 is another feature-filled humidifier that can be a great option if the Levoit LV600HH isn’t quite right for you. It also has a powerful output, enabling it to handle large rooms with ease, even if it doesn’t quite match up to the Levoit.
