The Comfort 30 x 54 inch Gel Coat walk-in soaker tub fits the space of your standard traditional bathtub, making it an excellent choice for a remodel. Should you need it, the company includes the wall extension kit, too.

This step-in tub has a large number of standard features. A rare find was the included five-piece Roman faucet set. The set includes a hand-held shower and has a solid brass jewel arch spout, 0.75-inch ports and valves, all working at 18 gallons per minute average, depending on your water pressure. Each soaker tub includes a dual 2-inch draining system. The company states that the 30 x 54 inch drain system will empty this walk-in tub with a door in 80 seconds, although this is dependent on the plumbing. The company also claims this tub has the fastest fill time of 4.5 minutes, whereas an average bathtub can take over 15 minutes to fill.

Other standard features on the Comfort 30 x 54 inch gel coat walk-in soaker tub include an anti-slip floor and seat, removable access panels, a built-in 17-inch-high seat, and built-in grab bar. The walk-in bathtub door has a silicone rubber seal with an ergonomic doorsill.

The step-in (also called threshold height) is a low 6 inches, and this ADA-compliant walk-in bathtub for seniors even includes a neck and head pillow as standard. An ozone system can be added to the soaker model to keep the water almost totally germ free, and it's standard on the jet tubs. Comfort Tubs uses high-quality fiberglass with a triple gel coat finish, albeit without the steel frame offered by other manufacturers.

The warranty included is lifetime on the step-in bathtub shell and door seal. The company includes a 5-year warranty on motors, electric controls, faucets and all supporting equipment. There is a 1- to 2-year warranty on labor if done by Comfort tubs. All warranties are nontransferable and only apply to the original owner, which can be a drawback.

The Comfort 30 x 54 inch Gel Coat walk-in soaker tub has a good amount of included features; however, the warranty has a fair number of exclusions, so it's best to read all documentation carefully prior to purchasing.
