PROS / Employees can fully customize their alerts and notifications.
CONS / Sending text and other mobile reminders and alerts costs extra.
VERDICT / Ximble’s employee scheduling software has a comprehensive feature set that offers everything most businesses need in a work scheduler.
Ximble is intuitive employee scheduling software by Nimble Software Systems. It has all of the features we looked for in a scheduling service, though a couple of these services come at an additional cost. This program offers multiple reports to help you track your data. All of its features make it one of the best employee scheduling systems available.
For our review, we tested and evaluated Ximble’s Advanced scheduling plan with both scheduling and time tracking. This plan includes payroll integration with programs like ADP and QuickBooks and the ability to schedule for multiple locations, and it provides personal assistance during the onboarding process while you adjust to the program. Ximble’s pricing plan is unique in that you only pay for the number of employees you have in the software and do not have to meet any specific minimum number.
This scheduling program includes a time clock so that your employees can easily track their hours in the system. The Advanced plan also comes with ximbleChat, which lets you talk and interact with employees through the online software. However, if you want to send your employees text messages or other mobile alerts from the software, such as shift reminders, you have to pay extra.
In our testing experience, Ximble was easy and fast to set up. Creating a schedule in this program was simple and straightforward and took relatively little time, though some other software in our review took less time. The software warns you before you publish conflicts in your schedule, and it notifies you of incoming requests so that you can approve or disapprove them at your leisure.
This scheduling software is easy for employees to use as well. Your staff members can easily view their schedules, request to swap shifts and pick up open sifts, and set up their availability so that you can avoid scheduling headaches.
Ximble provides 19 reports at the time of this review, which is above the average in our lineup. These reports include labor cost and attendance reports. You can also customize your reports with specific dates, employee positions or other criteria to be sure you get the information you need.
If you have questions, you can reach out to Ximble via phone, email or live chat. A knowledgebase and online tutorials are also available for you to peruse for answers to your questions.
Ximble is a comprehensive employee scheduler with a robust reporting section. Even though some of its features come at an extra cost, this program is some of the best software for both tracking employee time and creating schedules.
